My review is about the Newelectronx 40 model, so don't judge me about my opinion. I got my GPS about eleven months ago. It is very stylish and slim. The black finishing makes it look trendy. GPS navigation is great – it finds the satellite quickly. The maps are provided with same company that provides Garmin with its maps (Naviteq) with millions of Points Of Interest (POIs) in many categories. You can find your way very easily and you can search for your destination by exact address or categories (like restaurants or hotels or gas stations) or by entering a specific keyword in the search box (like Dominos Pizza, Starbucks, or BJs). The wide screen is are very convenient and clear so you won't get distracted from the road. This GPS provides clear and accurate Turn-by-turn voice instructions, so that you don't have to take your eyes off the road while your vehicle is moving. Voice instructions are available in over 21 languages. If you miss a turn along the route, the GPS automatically recalculates a route. You can choose to see a 2D or 3D map adjusted specifically for day time or night time conditions. When you begin a selected journey, the GPS provides an overview of your complete route, the total driving distance to your destination, the estimated travel time, and the complete destination address. The GPS can also add a destination for a multipoint navigation. It records your recent destinations for further reference and geez wiz, it has a very long list of recent destinations. The important thing is that it is an AWESOME portable GPS device. It has an mp3 player for rocking tunes and video player which runs very smooth and with very high quality video and sound from the internal speaker. It also reads the text files and the photo files which it can play as a presentation. You can access the media player directly from the navigation panel unlike on my Garmin. You don’t have to exit the navigation system to manipulate the music player. The FM transmitter is very strong and connects to any empty radio station you select. I never heard of the company, it was actually referred to me by word of mouth. So even though the company is not a well-known company the customer service seemed good. They answer all your questions and communicate very well through the email. In my opinion it is a very good device to have if you are looking for a great GPS and don’t want pay a big price for great features.
