CABLE TV SECURITY SHIELD TOOL for CATV SECURITY SHIELDS - Are the cable companies installing sleeves at the house to prevent cable piracy? I don't think so! They're being put there as a deterrent to prevent satellite installations. Normally, when you encounter a sleeve, or sleeves, at the house, you're forced to start cutting cable. End result: you either have a mess or your cable drops are now too short and you need to install jumpers and barrel connectors that reduce the satellite signal level. With this tool, you can eliminate those headaches altogether. Simply reach up into the shield, unscrew the F-connector, and remove the shield. These security tools are also handy attaching and un-attaching coaxial cables to VCRs, DVDs, satellite receivers and TVs especially when you're working in tight places.
