Capresso support gave me allot of help to fix my jura, but i'm afraid that repair cost was extremely too high for me to afford at this time. i read in a blog that you could get the jura coffee maker tool, the oval, yourself off ebay. after some time looking around i came across many people offering the single oval key for the jura. at the last minute i decided to get the screwdriver set instead - for various reasons. the most important reason is that i was dealing with an error 5 issue and i needed to get into the thermal block. i figured i would need more than one just screwdriver to do that. luck on my side i was right. when the tool kit arrived in 3 days shipment time, i had everything tool and screwdriver to open and modify the jura capresso coffee maker. I tried 2 sachets of Nespresso descaling solution, distilled vinegar, CLR, and a desert spoonful of Citric Acid granules - nothing worked. It wasn't until I opened the compartment side panels and saw that the brewing mechanism was horribly populated with calcium build up. I could have ran several descaling rinses and never scratch the service. With the machine open I was able to get most of it, if not all of it cleaned out. Thanks for the quick ship. Good job. Immediately I called the Jura Help line. the technician was very nice and tried to be helpful, but her suggestions did not work. seemed as if this was a pretty common problem on jura j6 as she was very quick with suggestions. The Fill Beans message simply will not go away, despite having a full hopper of premium beans. even after i emptied it, cleaned it out, vacuumed it and let it dry as instructed by the jura tech. i specifically used beans that were not oily as i knew that could pose a problem. i ordered my set, it arrived fast, i had the fill bean message cleared in about an 5 hours after opening up the jura and cleaning it. seems a sensor was blocked by bean. couldn't reach that with a vacuum. a screwdriver was needed to remove the panels to get to it. Thought the screws were rivets or something. The screws came out easily with oval pan head screwdriver. I replace the push buttons and closed it back up. Works like normal.
