what i did with the grinder key to clear grounds

after the grinder key arrived in the mail, about 2 days to Wisconsin. I Unscrewed torx screws at the top corners of jura. then i Took the logo off back and unscrewed the oval screw. i then pushed up the locking mechanism on the jura to release the back part of the brew group panels. there was another oval screw at the front, i Unscrewed that oval screw - this is the one which holds in place a plastic rod - some people call it a tag (from some information i read). I Pulled that rod (or tag) out and downward, this released the locking mechanism for the front part of the side panels. that's the only way to lift them off easily. once in i did allot of calcium cleaning before i replaced the brew group and clear the grinder of coffee grounds.

I'm not familiar with internals of this machine, in the past when a grinder jams appeared, i would empty the water first and turn the coffee maker upside down and gently tap it. that would free up grinder jams. jura ena is a sophisticated espresso machine with integrated grinder. Not easy to pick it up and turn it upside down. the grinder can handle some grinds as i Have tried adding some beans yet in all it still won't grind away. tried cleaning the grinder out with a computer vacuum cleaner as much as i could without taking it apart - that didn't fix the problem. after refilling the beans it still had the same message. It grinds, but nothing is making it into the press area. it wasn't until i ordered this jura oval key that i was able to clean out the grinder and entire espresso machine. you wouldn't believe the calcium build up you are drinking daily. everyone should own one of these. if not to clean beans out, more so to clean out mold and calcium build up.

No more leak

I have a DeLonghi Nespresso Maestria that leaked water all over the counter. I would have returned the machine, but its out of warranty. I used this screwdriver set to help me pry off the cover. I found the leak. It was at a high pressure connector - replace the o ring on the outside side the connector - that's where the leak was. I used the oval size to get into the machine and then I used it to close it up.

Thank you for the fast shipping! The Nespresso Oval Tool worked great. The problem started when we tried to make coffee without the carafe filter (or whatever) underneath and grounds filled the brew group and water reservoir. We thought everything had been cleaned from the initial incident but the Nespresso would only steam and little drips of water into the cup while attempting to make espressos. when I opened the Nespresso maker with the Oval screwdriver I removed the hidden grounds clogging the hose and brew group. Great tool set!!

We have owned our Jura for years, it has suffered 2 international moves, and it has recently started steaming a lot and producing half espresso coffee. With this tool set I opened the oval pan security screws on the rear removed the brew group and noticed that I had a clogged tube. My wife accidentally bought used coffee grounds meant for boiling and I used them, oops! Before buying this toolkit we tried flushing the Jura with vinegar several times, but it didn't improve our problem. Since we really love this machine - we are really happy to let you know that your repair screwdrivers has saved us from throwing it away.

coffee bean mineral build up

I was forced not by my choice to buy this tool kit but buy my coffee machine. the symptoms were unstable, every 4 to 5 minutes my maker would lose power in the middle of making a batch. what?! open it up, i discovered that the hotplate was going over temperature. mineral build up had welded the thermal fuses together - overriding the heating control circuit. dangerous! I fixed this hazard, cleaned the inside as much as i could and then ran a clr rinse. working fine now.

helped me fix the coffee leaks

Before the tool set arrived I would put 10 cups of water inside my coffee maker and only get out 8 cups of coffee. After opening the coffee maker and repairing the leaks from the bottom of the machine, that spilled water all over my counter top - I am brewing again, and my repair has cut down the leakage to 100%.

I have an out of warranty Nespresso EN110.B it leaks a weird amount of water from the bottom. i think the issue started after a descale?? the issue seemed to get worse as i got less coffee of the top. it mainly spilled all water from the base. the puddle underneath might short circuit and trip a safety switch or cause an electrical fire therefore i decided to DIY it myself. With my husbands help finding the o ring, i managed to repair the machine with this screwdriver set. i save myself $150 by buying this screwdriver at a fraction of the cost. that is why this is a good review.

ridiculous repair cost

I've had a nespresso maestria for 2 winters with no problems. I disturb descaling once year as recommended and all of sudden this year it is leaking. Water would not come out of the spout, it just leaked from the bottom. Nespresso wanted $147 to repair it or $100 off a newer model. I love aesthetic of this model so much that I went out and bought the screwdriver to repair it myself. The repair wasn't hard and it was a success. All it takes is using the right screwdriver and then once opened fit it with a new cheap o ring, mainly the ones used for high pressure water at your local hardware store. I would recommend this screwdriver.

Grinder Key on my Jura Ena5

I have a espresso machine with integrated grinder. I was having dripping problem with my Ena 5. It dripped so slow and that I would only get a tea spoon of coffee. Not easy to pick it up and turn it upside down to shack out coffee grounds. Ordering this key saved it. I cleaned out the grinder and now the machine is back to normal.

tried descale did not work

I own a Nespresso Maestria and i tried everything to get it working again. i descale yearly as per the Nespresso instructions. I tried 2 sachets of Nespresso descaling solution, distilled vinegar, CLR, and a desert spoonful of Citric Acid granules - nothing worked. It wasn't until I opened the compartment side panels and saw that the brewing mechanism was horribly populated with calcium build up. I could have ran several descaling rinses and never scratch the service. With the machine open I was able to get most of it, if not all of it cleaned out. Thanks for the quick ship. Good job. Coffee and espresso will be severed now!

grounds stuck in nespresso grinder

About a month ago we bought this tool because it started with grounds stuck in the nespresso grinder. We had a bit of an accident in our kitchen. I needed to empty the grounds in our nespresso, and used an old bag of coffee beans. Before I got a chance to clean up, my girlfriend then poured the used grinds in to the nespresso. she and i tried cleaning it out as best we could, used a mini vacuum - picking it out by hand one at time - shaking - pounding - scrapping etc, and still the nespresso says - fill with beans, when its already full, and just makes a weird noise when you try and make espresso or coffee. buying this tool helped me to really give the nespresso a good cleaning. my girlfriend and i would like to thank you so much. this is a good product.

102 Set Discovery

I received my espresso marker approximately 1 year ago as a gift from my husband. Not until recently I was informed by one of my co-workers that these machine produce mildew and mold from all the condensation mixed with the coffee product that slips through the cracks. Low and behold, when my husband opened the machine with your tool set, we found this built up slim on the bottom, corners, and hoses. Not quite mold, but nonetheless it was disgusting. This tool set has now become apart of my needed cleaning supplies. I would pay several dollars for this product then pay my high medical deductible anytime. Thank you
