Tristar MX DVR Home Theater System
When the DVR is powered up i am not getting any signals from the CVBS to the TV. On the display for the DVR the only thing that appears is the timer and once i move to any icon it goes back down to the timer. This means we turn them on, map around for a bit, and test all the functions like Bluetooth, Audio and Video Input, etc. We could not test these features if the device never turned on. Or you may not have full understanding of how to power it on. Nonetheless, please allow us the ability to help you with this issue.With the GPS facing you or with you looking at the 5 inch touch color screen – turn the GPS to where the SD card slot is on your left hand side. Now, look on the top right hand side of the GPS. There you should see a shiny silver button. This is your power button.  Press that power button down for about 2 to 3 seconds. This will turn the power on. Allow the GPS to load, you will see the splash screen and then it will load into the GPS software. Viola – now you can use the GPS software.Assuming this is what you meant from your question, this solution should solve your problem. Does not turn on can be interpreted to meaning many things – like the GPS software will not start, or the entire GPS will not power on, or the GPS charging light will not work, etc. We just went with the most obvious assumption. How do I determine if filtering is being used by my cable company? -
Only regular movie channels can be filtered. Tune to a pay-per view channel on a TV that has no converter connected ( the cable is connected directly to the TV ). The picture should be clear ( no snow ) but will be unstable, wavy-this is a scrambled picture. Any channel that looks like this can be viewed with a converter. If the picture on any premium channel looks any different or has any snow in it, then it is being filtered and will not be viewable with a converter. Filters generally need to be removed by upgrading your package with your service provider. The service provider will normally use a tool like this (CATV Security Sleeve Tool) to remove the filter and permit the reception of such filtered channels. -

cant get remote going
